Those of you who keep trashing our country and want us to stop helping other countries, (and by wanting us to leave Iraq, you are saying that you don't want us to help) you should read the Mini Page in the Washington Post this week. There is an important question that everyone should ask themselves in regard to the first amendment typed in the middle of the front page. "Have you thought about what it would be like if you were not allowed to do these things?" Iraqi people did not get to do these things under Sadam's regime. Not to many countries are blessed with these freedoms. And I think way to many of us are taking them for granted lately.

I wonder if the same people that complain about being lied to were fans of Clinton and Nixon?! We were lied to then. It has been proven that we were not lied to by bush. He recieved a report that we later found out to be false. But before he found out that it was false, he brought it to our attention and we went to war. So as far as I can tell, it was not done on purpose.

I don't know to much about this story. I just saw it running along the screen this morning on the news. If I am wrong about some facts, please let me know. I'll admit I am wrong about the facts (not my opinion) and I'll learn from you all.
"Black Lawmakers seek apology from Virginia for slavery."
Would someone explain this to me? I am from Virginia. And I plan on moving back this year. And this really bugs me. Is there anyone alive at this point that owned a slave? I don't think so. So why is it that people alive today are still supposed to apoligize? I mean the state itself can't apoligize, people have to do that for the state. And that is just not right.
And I have another question... Did blacks come over to this country knowing that they were expected to be slaves? Did they know and still get on the boat? (This is the one I am not sure about which is why I am asking). If so, why is there so much hatred about slavery? I mean if they knew what was coming and still chose to come here, why are white people still getting blamed for it?
*Please enlighten me

Sadam must be hung within 30 days. I would love for this to be aired on TV. I would love to see this murdering, torturing, raping "man" hang for everything that he did or ordered someone else to do to other people. Now I understand that not all people want to watch... So I think it should be offered on payperview!! Come on Comcast... Do something right for once.

I have an idea for the White House Christmas tree for next year. Why not have the nations children make ornaments and mail them to the White House so the tree can be decorated with them? It seems like a great way to get our children involved in something important to our nation. The tree is supposed to resemble peace in a chaotic world. I think that would be perfect for the children to get involved in that!!

Aren't you supposed to be teaching your kids sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me? Yall are showing a real good example of it. Get over it. So he made some rude comments. Are you saying you are God and never make rude comments? I guarentee an insult has crossed your lips at least once in your entire life.

Stores staying open on Thanksgiving is unbelievable. Their empolyees are being taken away from family time just so the store can make some extra money. And people actually go to the stores supporting this policy. That is unbelievable. I refuse to go to any stores on Thanksgiving day. No gas stations, no 7-11, no retail. Holidays should not be spent shopping. Because when you do, the chances are that the person waiting on you has to leave their family on a holiday to do so. I know, my mother was one of them. She has 2 young children at home and had to work at a grocery store yesterday because idiots don't plan in advance and get everything they need the day before. And the idiot CEO of the grocery store chain has to get that almighty dollar to stay open to wait on the idiots that should have had things done in advance.

Why is it when people get drunk, get behind the wheel of thier car and kill someone, its vehicular homicide or manslaughter? You CHOOSE to get behind the wheel of a car knowing you are drunk. You KNOW what could happen if you drive drunk. And since you know the consequences and you still do it then that to me means pre-meditated and should be first-degree murder. Thoughts?

Before I get started, I want you to know the situation that I am in. I am married to a Vietnam and Gulf War vet. My 2 brother-in-laws are Vietnam Vets. One of them died 3 years ago after YEARS of suffering with agent orange.
That being said I want to ask a question in response to alot of the blogs that I have seen. So what if the military targets the people that haven't had the blessing to get very far in their education? Doesn't the army offer to help them with their education? There are many perks to joining the military. I know that they would be going off to war. But that proves my point that I have been trying to make all along...
*It takes a true Man/Woman to go to war and fight to help others. Fight for what they believe in. Put their lives on the line just to free one more person. It takes a sissy to sit in the comfort of your nice, safe home and complain about it. And insult the very people that fought to keep your home nice and safe. Fought for your freedoms. *
Kerry and the rest of the senators out there... Do you think you are to good to go and fight? From what I am understanding, you are the very sissys' that I am talking about. You are to busy insulting everyone. And this election isn't helping. Its all about trashing the president. Basically you are a pile of scum if you support Bush. Well you know what? We might have gone there under lies. And it may not look like it from the pictures that you have seen and the stories that you have heard, but we have helped ALOT of people over there. I have talked to iraqi citizens. They are thankful that we have gone over there. If we were being terrorized by our leader like the iraqi people were, wouldn't you hope that someone would try and help? That is what we have done. Sadam was a dictator and innocent people were suffering for it. We are trying to help. So I will say again. It takes a true man/woman to be in the military. It takes a sissy to insult the ones that are

When I was a kid there was a meteoroligist (I think it was on Fox 5)that wore a skeleton costume while doing the weather on halloween. And with special effects there was just bones there. IT WAS AWSOME!!! I was hoping that I would be able to show my kids bones but the last several years when I turned it on the news in the morning... No bones. What happened to bones? And can we bring him back??? I looked forward to it every year.
